Quentin Lambert Beauchamp (Uncle Lamb). Claire's father's brother.

Physical Characteristics: 5'6" (Outlander, chapter 11), brown curly hair. Claire weighs 9 stone - about 57kg (Outlander, chapter 12) and wears size 9 shoes (DIA, chapter 9) She is fine-boned with skin like an opal and golden eyes like a leopard (Outlander, chapter 16) Roger describes Claire's skin as being so fair that the blue veins show through at temple and throat (V, chapter 13)  When Roger meets Claire for the first time as an adult he describes her as being very pretty with fine bones, a wealth of curly brown hair and eyes the colour of well-aged sherry. He later notes that Claire has beautiful hands (DIA, chapter 1) Jamie describes Claire's eyes as being the colour of whisky with the sun shining through them from behind (DIA, chapter 6) Claire has long slim hands with a crooked little finger on her right hand, a full bottom lip and a pointed chin (V, chapter 25) Jamie says Claire has a nose as keen as a truffle pig's (V, chapter 40)
Claire needs no introduction being not only the narrator of most of the story but also the main female character.  

Significant Moments:
1923: 
Orphaned at the age of 5 and taken under the care of Uncle Lamb (Outlander, chapter 1) Uncle Lamb saved a box of things relating to Claire's parents, including photos, their birth certificates and Claire's, their marriage lines and the registration of the car that killed them (V, chapter 42)
1923-1936: Claire and Uncle Lamb live in many different places in a series of archaeological camps, making their homes in tents, caves and pyramids (DIA, chapter 31) and a mud hut in Persia (DIA, chapter 36)
1926: Claire has her first kiss with the 9 year old son of the dragoman in Egypt (Outlander, chapter 28)

1931-1934: Claire looks at the photos of her parents each night. She feels a bone deep longing for her mother and treasures a close-up photograph of her which has been hand-tinted (V, chapter 42) 
1938/1939: 
Married Frank Randall (Outlander/Cross Stitch, chapter 1) Frank and Claire live in a series of hired flats as they move from university to university for Frank's studies (DIA, chapter 31)
1939: War breaks out and Claire moves out of their flat and into the junior nurses' quarters at Pembroke Hospital for nursing training (DIA, chapter 31)
1939-1945: Nursing during the war and saw Frank only 3 times (Outlander, chapter 1) Claire was a senior nurse at a French field station in 1943 (DIA, chapter 7) She moved back to Pembroke before the war's end (DIA, chapter 31)
